SUMMER RALLY CRUISING SERIES

The Summer Rally Series is sailed over weekends during the summer months commencing in October and is a combination of rallies, beach activities and barbecues. It is a wonderful way to enjoy our beautiful Hauraki Gulf, to find new places to visit, make new friendships and cultivate existing ones. The Series combines travelling to a safe anchorage, beach activities, BBQs and socialising.

While the cruising rallies appeal to the club sailor, they are also a great opportunity for new boaties and their families to find out more about their boats, improve their boating knowledge and find out about safe boating. An essential part of these cruising rallies are the leisurely activities. This includes, fun beach activities like Petanque, Beach Bowls, Beach Cricket, Wine Tasting, a Fishing Competition, and a couple of Champagne Breakfasts.

This Series is open to all BBYC Members with a yacht, trailer sailor, launch, power boat or even a jet ski. Club Members are invited to join in the social activities that complement the Cruising Rally Weekends. Your mode of transport is of no consequence as long as it can reach the destination concerned. The prizes are very good, with both rally prizes and spot prizes being similar and plentiful. ​
